Hi. Since this marks the second anniversary of The Carnival of the Cats, I thought I'd do two cat posts. Since Maddie isn't a Prima Donna, she's decided to share the spotlight.
This is Matilda.
She's the cat next door. She used to be one of the neighborhood strays. We would put food out for her, and she'd be very friendly, meowing in her very small voice in thanks. She's a champion jumper, as we found out when we saw her walking on our roof. We'd have taken her in ourselves, but Maddie is a strictly one-cat-per-household sort of cat.
Anyway, Matilda was adopted by our neighbors, who take very good care of her. They let her out on the screen porch, where she sniffs the wind, and looks at us in our kitchen. Here's another photo of Matilda catching a few rays, and chewing on her foot.
She's a very sweet girl, and she's lucky to have found such a good family.
Love those big green eyes.
