Who watches...

...the Watchcat?  Maddie is a very alert cat.  I was outside yesterday, and noticed her watching me through the window:

Maddie likes to sit on the couch and chatter at the birds.  After I got inside, I raised the blind and let her chatter at the bird I was getting pictures of:

Maddie thinks she could take him.

Riiiight.  Let me know how that works out for you.  At least I'll finally be able to have some peace around here...

The bird (which I think is a red-tailed hawk, but correct me if I'm wrong) was across the street Interstate and I had to max out the 10x zoom on the trusty Kodak Z740.  The last 4x is digital zoom which (along with my general lack of ability) explailngs the lack of quality in the image.

We do get some interesting birds around here.  Here's another blurry, across the street 10x zoom pic of some Goldfinches that showed up one rainy day:

Beautiful creatures, and quite breath-taking to see them in real life.
