It's been a bit of a wistful week. We got the news that Sissy Willis had lost her beloved Tiny. We send our deepest sympathies, and hope that their memories of her bring peace, as our memories of Ivy bring peace to us.
Piece? Sweet! Piece of ham? Piece of turkey? Piece of lovely, delectable, wonderful Laughing Cow Spreadable Cheese?!? Nom!!!!
And then, we read that Laurence is feeling Nardo's age, even if Nardo isn't, and reminding us that all wonderful things have a limited time here on earth.
All this on top of Maddie's case of goopy-eye topped with a rotten tooth. We are quite paranoid. We've been giving Maddie the once-over several times a day. Every sniff, sneeze, sigh, quirk are scrutinized to be sure it's not a sign of the impending end. I think our girl is quite fed up with us.
You have no idea. I'm fine. Trust me. AND KEEP THAT THERMOMETER ON YOUR OWN DARN SIDE OF THE ROOM!!!!
As for us, we'll be glad when Maddie's next senior-kitty check-up happens and Dr G tells us that Maddie is doing good. And we'll revel in every single minute we have with our cat.
Thank you for letting us know about Nardo. We haven't visited for quite some time and will pop over there soon.
One thing about blogging is that in knowing all these kitties for as long as I have they become part of the family. I never expected that there would be heartache to go with it when illness or death happens to our beloved friends.
Shaggy has his check up on Tuesday.
Maddie, bury that thermometer in your litter box or bat it under the couch. That'll learn 'em!
