It's been several long days of seriously unhappy weather here at ChezRanger. Had 3 straight days of heavy heavy rain. Got 2.9 inches of it Thursday, and not much less each of the two days before. It was heavy, coming-in-sideways rain. And the capper? SNOW. A genuine snow emergency here in town. We got a solid two inches of it! (STOP LAUGHING, SHAGGY, SCOUT AND PATCHES!! Down here it's serious!) Got Friday off school, which is nice even though we'll have to make it up later. Took a photo or two of the remnants of the snow on the bamboo stand across the highway.
Of course, I know everyone is wondering what Maddie did during the heavy seas of the past week. Napped mostly. Mostly in her papasan by the fireplace. Now that the sun has reappeared, she has taken to her sunpuddle in the bedroom. She is very happy it's back!
Why can't it always be like thissszzzzzzzzz.......
Of course, I saw her paw hanging down and had to do my lame imitation of the Sistine Chapel. Behold: The Creation of Man by Cat.
Stupid beyond words, I know, by it's how my mind works...
I'll put up with stupid as long as I get warm sun, good food and clean litter. And spreadable cheese. Keep that in mind.....
Well, we understand about people who aren't used to snow so that when you get even a teeny tiny bit (snicker) it becomes total chaos. What ever would you do if you got 18 inches at once like we got in mid December?? All but a few inches of that are gone now due to mild temps. But we go subzero for a high this week. Watch for Minn/ND on the news.
Maddie, good girl! Make sure your demands are non-negotiable.
