We start today's post with a heartfelt note from Daisy herself, thanking all of her loyal blog followers! Really, she typed it herself. With her butt.
We now continue with our regularly scheduled blog post.
Daisy LOVES to play. She's a year and a half old, but has lost none of her kitten playfulness. Her favorite toys are those on a stick or string. She enjoys solo play with a mousie or jingle ball, but mostly she loves playing with anything we can wave around for her.
Here she is playing with her current fave. You can see she's got the string pulled tight!
What toy is it, do you think?
Yes! It's her shiny pink kerploof!
It actually used to be a shiny pink fluffy ball, but it really resembles a shiny pink mangled furry octopus more than a ball now.
I could probably wave that thing around for several hours before she decided to have a snack and a nap.
She brings it to us and drops it at our feet or on our keyboard requesting a good play.
If we toss it away, she stares at it to see if it's behavior has changed since the last time she savaged it, she hops down and brings it back to us for another round.
Daisy is very smart about her plays. She's figured some stuff out.
Let's see....hmmmm.....the string controls the toy.....the hand controls the string.....the arm controls the hand.....so if I want to control the toy.....hmmm.....I have to....
...CONTROL THE ARM!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes, that is my arm. And yes, you can see her wee teefies. And yes, yes, those teefies did find their way into my arm. Not bad, really. She's gotten a lot better than she's been in the past. My arms and legs are actually starting to heal. Of course, I make sure I've a bit of armor on once the raucous play starts.
Daisy is also developing her sweet side, as well. She sometimes comes up and naps on my chest early in the morning. Makes up for any blood shed during the day, I must say.
