Daisy is a really sweet and loving cat. She is constantly bunting up against us and rubbing on our legs.
She can quickly cross the line into complete pyscho-kitty. My poor leg looks something akin to Frankenstein's Monster. One of my many nicknames for her is "Deathfang the Exsanguinator". Daisy often chases me around the house and tries to bring me down as she would a moose or elk. She knows that if she brings me down she'll eat for a month.
Oh, get up you big baby. You didn't fall that far!
I think it's because Daisy was an only kitten, and a bottle-baby at that. She didn't have the tutelage of other cats to inform her, in often forceful terms, of what was and wasn't acceptable play. We've been working on it and she is getting better. I am kinda glad, though, that fall is coming. Right now, my jeans are the best armor I have....
Daisy has also learned that she's always going to have food in her bowl and that she does not have to climb up our arms to get to the sandwich I'm holding temporarily out of reach. But then she can cross the line into aggressive food-seeking and decide that the dinner table is the ultimate place to hang out and nom on the human. She gets a time-out for that. She went after the remains of our roasted vegetable lemon thyme risotto last night.
Can't really blame her. It was hella yummy.
She does a very good job playing like a cat. Whether it's on her own or playing with us she's a wonderful sight to see.
WooHoo! No bat made out of shiny, crinkly mylar will EVER evade my claws!!
I really think she sees the ball as a bat. Or maybe she sees the bat as a ball.....
But then Daisy crosses the line and acts like a puppy. She goes spelunking in the trash. Trash everywhere.
Gotta be something interesting in here! They keep dropping stuff in this! It must be full of wonder and amazement!!!!
Really. We sometimes tell her to her face that she's acting like a puppy. And a Golden Retriever puppy at that!
WTH?!? Did you just call me a puppy??
Ooops. Looks like we just crossed a line! At least we didn't call her a raccoon!
Gotta go make up with the cat. Have a good week, all!
