Here's another reflection picture of Maddie, looking out the front window at the birds hopping around the freshly turned vegetable garden, nabbing bewildered worms:
It's taken us several years to turn the
solid red clay soil there into a viable growth medium. Now all we have to do is alter the earth's axial tilt a bit to garner a little more direct sunshine and all should be good. In any event, Fresh Roma Tomatoes in 6 weeks!

BTW, a nice hat-tip to some anonymous individual thatposted to a digital photo site. He or she suggested that a standard paper coffee filter placed over the flash on a camera will mellow out some of the harshness of a built-in flash. This (while not a great pic) doesn't have the overly silvered-out fur that almost all Ivy shots have. I guess if I can't get her in sunlight, I'll have to remember this trick.
Ivy does look content. Beautiful and Maddie too! Happy Cat Blogging! I think they are both great pics.
