Y'know, as different as our cats are, they share a few traits. One of which is the compulsive desire to help when we make the bed. We think there's a cat-gene that instills the desire to make beds. We got this shot a week or so ago when Ivy decided to start hopping on the bed:
You missed a spot.
Of course, we'd noticed this long ago with Maddie.
Ahh... nice and smooth and soft. Carry on.
Of course, we always do carry on.
Let's hear it for Cat-Genetics!
Scout is our bed helper cat here. Always has to check the tauntness of the sheets and do a final burrow before putting his seal of approval on the job.

I'm never quite sure why humans find it necessary to make the bed every day? I'm happy to help, but "rumpled" is fine with me.

My sweet little Siamese Tim always was eager to help with bed making. Sam the Wonder Cat (my Maine Coon cat) has now taken over Tim's duties and like all my cats before him, the concept of "move it" doesn't seem to register. I actually made him INTO the bed a couple of times - no clue!
I love cats! All cats.
