Maddie-palooza!

Monday the 22nd was Maddie's 8th birthday!  We've had a week-long celebration of the Brown-Tabby-Center-of-the-Universe.  We started out on Monday with a slice of Maddie's favorite deli-turkey and continued with play times and brushies during the week.  As it's been another crazy week, we haven't been as on-top of things as we should, so we'll just have to keep celebrating for the next week.  Here's a brief retrospective of Maddie's blog-photos, with some new ones at the bottom. 

 

This is probably the oldest pic we have of Maddie.  She's always enjoyed the couch by the window.

She's even made her peace with the new couch.

Maddie did get a chance to play some for her various birthday celebrations this week.  We got a piece of the weed-eater cord and (after detaching it from the weed-eater) waved it around.  It seemed to be a great hit with our girl:

 

 

 

And when she's done playing, she always shows her appreciation:

We are always happy Maddie is here.  She will always have a home with us.  We love you, Maddie.

Comeback from a Crazy Week

Well, as I've said often enough in the past, it's been a busy week here at ChezRanger.  Busy with a touch of the crazy, too.  There's been an ankle fracture (darn that hazardous activity know as walking!) and a few other unpleasant occurances, but LadyRanger and I have hung tough.  As have the kitties.  This is the Comeback from a Crazy Week Post!

First we have a visitor cat.  His name is Bing and he lives next door:

Sorry there are no kitten pictures.  Like I said, it's been a psycho-crazy week.  I'll try to have some for next post. 

Sorry Excuse for a Post: the Sequel!

Once again, Ranger is brain-tired and not up to much of a post.  I beg your kind indulgence and present you with a couple of old favorites:

 

I've always loved this picture of Maddie.  It's one of the first we took upon getting our hands on a digital camera. 

 

And here's Ivy, waking up from a nap on the floor.  Now that she's staked a claim to the bed we don't see this much any more.

Hope for the future:  there are kittens in the neighborhood and in friends houses.  I'll try to overcome brain-drain and try to snap a few photos of kitteny goodness.  Should I succeed, I'll pass them on.
