Ivy died today.
She passed peacefully at the vet's office this evening, after spending the day mostly in her window. She had lots of good Paul Newman food, and a bit of vanilla cookie and ice cream.
She spent the day in the company of people who loved her.
LadyRanger has written a memorial.
Goodbye, Ivy.
Rest peacefully, dear Ivy.

She sought you out, and you gave her the best you could give her in the time you had together.
She chose well.
Bless her, and bless you.

We're sorry to read about Ivy's passing. But, the three years you had with, they were the best.

Sorry for your loss. Ivy was blessed to find you. Sandburg's poem seems to compare the fog to a cat, but I think it the reverse:
The fog comes
on little cat feet.
It sits looking
over harbor and city
on silent haunches
and then moves on.
