From the bottom of our collective heart, LadyRanger and I would like to say Thank You to all of you who have come by to say goodbye to Ivy and offer your condolences to us. Your presence has meant the world to us, and we are deeply touched that Ivy's presence has meant something dear to you. LadyRanger told me that "Coming by and leaving comments is the blogosphere's equivalent to bringing a casserole." Thank you all for spiritual nourishment. Thanks especially to Scooby, Shaggy and Scout (who have always been very kind to us), Rahel, Plum (of Fred's my Cat)(with apologies for not being able to get the link working), Egypt and the Musketeers, B....., Lynn, IamFelix (who has usually been amused by our captions), Sissy Willis, Samantha, Mr. Tigger and Maverick, Fiona (for whom the wee feet will always wave), and Laurence, who made me cry tears that were both sad and happy when he mentioned that he'd thought of Ivy (and the Lady in Red) when he found Bruwyn, and that those thoughts lead him to take the little squeaky in. Ivy is, I am quite sure, rewarding Laurence with one of her treasured dove-purrs.
It's funny. We started off, a bit over three years ago, thinking, "What are we going to do with this cat?" Now we are left with the thought, "What are we going to do without her?"
I'll leave you with my favorite picture of Ivy, the image I'll always have of her in the forefront of my mind. And I'll tell you what I think she would want to say herself:
What a beautiful picture. "Thank you" for sharing her with us. Lynne

We're so sorry that we missed a chance to say good bye. Mommy was on vacation and not helping me with the news - I loved reading all about Ivy.
Purrs to you all,
Bert, fellow tuxie
and Pearl and Jake and Mommy

Oh no, we just found out that Ivy went to the Bridge...we've followed her adventures since you found her, near death, in the ivy. We'll miss her, not as much as you but still, a lot. You have our sympathies...and our love.
