Maddie is getting used to being the sole occupant of the sunpuddle.
We humans are getting used to Ivy's absence, though we still expect to see her come toddling 'round the corner at times. We got all teary the other day when we received a totally unexpected sympathy card from Dr G, our wonderful vet. She wrote that Ivy "...was a great cat and I admired her and her ability to cope with her illness." Serious sniffles time.
In any event, Maddie is enjoying her unrestricted sun privileges, and we are enjoying Maddie enjoying them.
Hmmm...shall I go sit on the couch? Nope, no sun there. The papasan? No sun there either. I think I'll stay here.
Pettings and purrs ensue.
aw.... You have such a great vet!
And sniffles will come... we sniffle along with you, though :)

You got it right Maddie! Stick with the sun!
You look like you might be getting some good brushing from the Rangers too.
Our vet did that too after he had to euthanize one of our guinea pigs. It was a lovely card with "small animal heaven" on the front. I saved it in my "box of special things."
