Tentative Success! We had Vuvu over at our vet Saturday and Sunday, waiting for the bloodwork to be processed and the bath to take full effect. Vuvu has been given a clean bill of health to go with his clean fur. The office has an adoption kennel in the front office and Dr G., that wonderful vet, put Vuvu up there for the day, waiting for us to come claim him for fostering.
Turns out our little guy is quite the sales-cat. He was exuding his rather loud personality (as one of the vet assisstants put it "...we were all like 'seriously cat, be quiet'...) and won the heart of a regular customer. Now, this lady says she's not ready for another kitten and that she's probably only fostering him, but she knows people who might want him and(according to Dr G.) Vuvu was nestled in the crook of her arm gazing adoringly at her. Yeah, he's smart and she's done for. We hope. He was in his new home by the time we got to the vet to pick him up.
We're a bit sad that we didn't get a picture of him in his cleaned up state. I suppose it's enough to remember him like this:
and think of him fat, clean and happy in a loving home.
I'll think of him humming what we came to call "Ivy's Song" (to the tune of "Wouldn't it be Loverly" from "My Fair Lady")
Lots of kibble for me to eat.
A nice warm cat bed and central heat.
Warm tail, warm face, warm feet.
Oh, wouldn't it be loverly?
Anyways, I'm probably jinxing things. I'll shut up now. We want him to be happy in his new home.
Great news!!!!
He is such a pretty kitten and Ivy's song fits him perfectly too!
