We've got an appointment with the Vet Surgeon for Tuesday, 8:30 a.m.. She's going to take a look at Maddie and Maddie's X-rays. If she thinks that surgery is the way to go, we've decided to bite the financial bullet and get it done. There's even a chance it could be done that same day, though we don't know anything for sure. This is happening a bit fast for me. I'm not sure how one cares for a post-op cat. I think we'll have to keep Maddie confined so that she doesn't try to walk on the bad leg. Or newly-good, healing leg, I should say. I'll keep the world informed of any news that's fit to type.
I did promise a Special Guest Cat. Here's Tabby!
She's still settling into her new home. Very skittish around new people, so most of my pics were taken with the zoom, in uncertain lighting, so they're not terribly high quality. The cat, however, is a complete keeper! She is elegant and very light on her feet. She *loves* to fetch paper balls. Her human throws 'em, she chases and kills 'em, and brings 'em back to be thrown again.
She has a long and elegant tail.
Mostly, she watched us from the shadows and from behind the furnture.
She spends lots of time sitting in their basement window, looing at the passing world.
We're happy to have made her aquaintance! She's a sweetie.
Send good thoughts Maddie's way.
this must be the summer of the luxating patella. Felix, one of our friends at Katnip Lounge just posted about his surgery today and Maggie May from the Creek Cats had hers fixed up too. The lady at Katnip Lounge is wonderful and if you had any questions on care & whatnot we are sure she'd be happy to answer them. She has 12 cats, so she's seen a lot!

Oops. Forgot to mention Tabby! She is a beauty and we love that shot with her elegant tail! She is quite expressive and we bet she'll be a love sponge when she gets used to everyone!
