...was celebrated with solemn thanksgiving here at ChezRanger. Hearing from family was great as was our time together. And of course, the traditional Thanksgiving meal was delightful! We had our usual Aztec Soup (squash soup garnished with avocado, toasted walnuts and cheese) with LadyRanger's fresh bread. To finish, I made a delicious Pear Upside-Down cake:
There was one member of the family who was *not* impressed.
That's not turkey. I was told there would be turkey. It's traditional to serve turkey. Where's the TURKEY?!
Fear not, Maddie fans, your girl got a nice slice of the high-end deli-turkey. Nommed through everything on her plate. And since Maddie is a fan of tradition, she has the traditional turkey leftovers to eat for a day or two.
And how did the avian tryptophan affect our cat? The same way it affects us all.
