...since Maddie has gotten into the sock drawer. Usually it happens at bedtime. She hops up on the old chair and meows for an assist. As she's gotten older she doens't like to make the high jump to the top of the dresser. I open the drawer for her, she stands up and puts her front paws on it, I then reach down and place my hand where a step would be most helpful and she steps into my hand. I then lift my hand, raising the back end of the cat to the level of the drawer. She stands a mo, looks for a likely resting place, daintily steps in and then settles, purring. And no, I have no pictures of this operation so you'll have to trust me as much as Maddie does.
Yesterday was a bit different, timewise. She wanted in in the morning whilst we were doing our chores. Think she wanted a high spot from which she could look out the window.
After a bit, she decided to hop on top of the dresser...
...for a better vantage point.

rock on maddie ewe haz yur food serviss peepulz trained ta de max !!! now if ya could get a wee bell ta put on de dresser top sew when ya want sum food...ring bell, food comes in on tray; N yur reddy ta settle in then for a nap and a BURD free view :) hope ya had a grate non burd kinda day !!
