...the way we do it here at ChezRanger, is a bit different.
Our house was built in 1935. Don't know if the old grill was built then or added later. It was derelict by the time we bought the place. We tried grilling some shrimp-kebobs once, but water had soaked into the concrete over the decades and, once heated by the charcoal, exploded, sending charcoal dust and concrete shards over what had been a promising dinner. We use it as a plant stand for the herb garden now.
This is Matilda, our neighbor-cat. She's called Puddin' Cat by her human. She sometimes hops up on the grill to survey her territory.
She's a good, friendly cat.
