"He drew a deep breath. 'Well, I'm back,' he said."
It's been a long 5 weeks or so. I'd like to give thanks to those folks who stopped by to give comfort. It's amazing that people I've never met face to face can be such a boon. I am not eloquent at the best of times, so let me simply say that I am grateful for your presence and that your kindness has touched my heart.
Now, for the real reason you all come here.
It is, at long last, the most wonderful time of the year!
That's right, the return of the Autumnal SunPuddle! There are still leaves on the surrounding trees, so it's not in its full glory yet, but it does suffice for the Furry Center of the Universe. She's been anticipating the return for a few weeks now.
C'mon! Just a few more inches!
The ol' solar orb finally came through for her.
Oh yeah. This is the life. What's not to love?
I've been learning from Maddie, and taking joy in the little things in life, such as a nap in the sun puddle with the cat. It is indeed wonderful.
Of course it's wonderful. You're with me. Now shut up and sleep, if you want to do this right.
Indeed.
Coming up next week, I make my apologies to a lion.
And +5 points to whoever identifies the source of the quote at the head of the post. Shouldn't be too hard, if you've geek cred like mine!
So glad you're back and, yes, sharing sun puddles with the cat is very therapeutic. I do it every day.

Ummm...no idea on the quote...
Good to see you are back! Taking time to heal and get perspective is important. We know you can always find a kitty in the closest available sunpuddle, and I personally have dived in multiple times this past month. Just laying next to a kitty is magically healing.
