Cold Weather has returned to the Great American SouthEast. Not Shaggy and Scout cold, but cold for here. It's finally time to fire up the old fireplace. Maddie, being a hardy, long-haired, bred for the harshest winter Maine Coon Cat, feels little need for it.
Oh puh-leeze! All I need is a low bush to keep some of the snow off! I'm tough! I'm rugged! Oh, could you slide the ramp over by the papasan? I'm going to want to get up in it in just a mo, after you get me my kibble and give me brushies! What? What do you mean, "irony"? Clod.
Ivy, though, always loved her some warms.
A fire *and* a fuzzy bed? Oh yeah, this is the life...zzzzzz
Not a great picture of the wee tuxedo cat, but enough to give you an idea.
Now, I'm off to build a fire and relax in front of it. This is, in fact, the life.
2 degrees this morning.
Too.
Dang.
Cold.
Shaggy loves his heated kitty bed and spends a fair amount of time there. He'd like to extend an invitation for Maddie to join him anytime.

my stars Maddie, I could not agree more...yesterday was a brisk 21 and everyone was yelling, more heat, winter clothes, crank the fire, while I perused the basement in my Norwegian forest...mostly...fur coat, looking for a spot to cool off...meanwhile upstairs, boomer is lying so close to the fireplace, I could feel heat radiating off his cat ass from 10 feet away...hugs girl from dai$y =^..*=
