Daisy experienced a first the other night. At about 1:54 a.m. she horked up her very first hairball.
There will be no pictures of the offending item.
Thank goodness! Experiencing that once was more than enough for me! I'm sure glad that was a once-in-a-lifetime sort of thing!!
We'll tell her later.........
It was a meager little hairball, though I'm sure unpleasant enough for our girl. Nothing like Maddie's hairballs. Maddie used to hork up monsters the size of Jimmy Dean sausage links. I mean, wow.....
<sigh>...Really?? Couldn't you have remembered me for some of my other, more sterling qualities? Honestly, that was a bit embarrassing.
Sorry dear, truth's the truth. You did have a lot of fur and were pretty obsessive about grooming. You sure did know how to pose, though.
True. Thank you.
Anyways, Daisy seemed a bit rattled. She's not a big sleep-on-the-bed-with-the-humans type of cat, but she hopped up and stayed with us from about 2:00 til we woke. I guess she wanted a bit of company. She seems her normal self now. I've been trying to get her used to more thorough brushings but she tends to enjoy them for about 37 seconds and then decides that what I'm really suggesting is that she attack my arm with tooth and claw. She's still a youngster though. Perhaps she'll mellow into it. In a few years, a couple of gallons of my blood and innumerable future hairballs.
That's life with a cat, though, innit?
There are rewards as well. Daisy came up and snuggled on my chest this morning for a few minutes. Purred a lot, too. She hasn't done that in a while. It was really nice.
Have a good week ahead, all!
