Daisy likes to help out, mainly in the guise of supervision. She is, like all supervisors, extremely knowledgeable, possessed of high standards, and supportive of the staff as we endeavor to offer the quality of care she has come to expect.
Dude. You're doing it wrong. Nimrod. It looks like an episode of Hoarders in here....c'mon, MOVE IT! Get this place fixed up!!
Ahh, yes, constructive criticism in the finest tradition of every supervisor I've ever known.....
Daisy also serves as a warning system, alerting us to disharmonies in our local Feng Shui. As an example: we have a large Korean screen that we had framed long ago, and hung on the wall. Not too long ago the 20 year old mono-filament holding it up gave way and the whole thing crashed down.
Whoa! Where'd THAT come from?!?
No major damage. The bottom right corner broke but we're hopeful that it can be fixed. Daisy was right on it, though.
Dude. Someone broke your stuff.
After being supplied with this detailed technical knowledge we knew precisely the next steps to take. Repair is, we hope, immanent.
What, you may ask, is Daisy's compensation for overseeing the hapless humans in the household? Well, beyond a bottomless food bowl and a clean box, we lavish pats and smoochies and a limited but comfy set of laps to recline upon. We also offer playings! Now, we do our best, but we're not quite up to the lightning fast reflexes of the average cat. (warning: the following images are rather blurry. didn't have enough light for a really fast shutter. We're installing flood lamps soon)(not really)
Dude. Yo're so lame I could catch this with my eyes shut.
See? BOOYAH!!
I like this next pic. Not because it's great or anything, but if you look closely you can see the curve of Daisy's wicked-sharp lower fangs, curved like scimitars and flashing in the light.
I AM DEADLY!!!!!
I kinda like the effect in the eyes, too. All completely accidental on my part.
I hope the week ahead is wonderful for all. I hope your Thanksgiving Day, should you celebrate such, is warm and ful lof joy. And at least one cat.
