ChezRanger celebrated yet another Thanksgiving. We had our traditional squash soup with walnuts, cheese and avocado garnishes. This year we decided to go with LadyRanger's extremely yummy ricotta/herb rolls instead of the traditional Basque bread. It was a rousing success! An elegantly set table only added to the cheer!
We are thankful for our continued health, the health of our family and friends and our ability to exist, so far, in this covid-ridden world without massive problems in our lives. We wish the same for all of you.
One event that we mentioned in particular: Daisy's return from the wilds earlier this month. Daisy can be rather a difficult cat at times, especially in her relation to the "no cats on cooking or eating surfaces" rule...
oh? That's a thing, now, is it?
Yes, dear, it's always been a thing.
...but we would have been heartbroken if she hadn't come back! We are quite happy and thankful to have her in our lives! Daisy has been a bit disgruntled and not very thankful that she is now restricted to the indoors, but we think she's getting used to the idea...
Oh, so near, and yet so far away! <sigh>
Where brick, mortar and heavy iron grating failed, window screens seem to be Daisy's kryptonite.... thank god......
Have a safe, happy and wonderful week ahead, all!
