The Usual Course of Events

We had a pretty normal day yesterday at ChezRanger.  We got up, did our usual saturday morning chores, went out for a run (LadyRanger) and a walk (me).  Daisy kept watch over the house while we were out.  Once we came back we had a nice, relaxing day.  Listened to the MetOpera broadcast and just chilled.  Daisy, after guarding out little home on the highway, was ready to take some well-deserved time off.  

Being a security-cat is exhausting!  Constant vigilance! Always ready for decisive action! Time to unwind!

You can see we have a long cat.

That's right!  The long paw of the law!

Daisy enjoys the back of the couch quite as much as Maddie and Ivy ever did.  She keeps an eye on everything in the house.  She monitors the outside world.  She spots birds that look oh-so-tasty.  And she naps with a style and grace no human can match.

It's also one of the rare times when she's still enough for me to take pics like this:

I do love me a good cat close-up.
