...I never thought I'd see something like this again!
Back in May of 2007, Ivy discovered strawberries.

..mmmmm....strawberries.
It seems that she really liked them.

oh yeah....
Maddie, of course, did not look kindly on Ivy's newfound joy.

OMG YOU'RE WEIRD!!!
Ivy just kept on lovin' her strawberries, unperturbed by the gorgon in the doorway.
Ivy never again displayed any interest in our strawberries, and we brought a good few home from the store. She was never again as enraptured by them. I thought that this one incident was the last I'd ever see of a cat going full footloose bozo on strawberries.
Until the other day...

What's all this, then?

oh, yeah...strawberries.....
Daisy did her own little nose-dive into the strawberry scented goodness. She was really quite enraptured!

where have these been all my life?!?
Um, we bring them home about every two weeks, Daisy. Really.

BRING HOME MORE!!
Really, I doubt she'll ever go nutso on strawberries again, but I've been wrong before. I'm just glad we got to experience this joy for a second time in our too human lives.

This is amazing....
Yes, lovable grey dovable, it is. Thank you!
Now, to address the cat in the room... I'm sure you've noticed that Daisy's tummy fur seems a bit sparse. There are also some deforested areas on her sides. We've talked to our vets about it when we went in for Daisy's dental work a couple of months ago. The doctors didn't see any signs of skin problems. No lesions, scratches, or scabs. she doesn't have fleas and she's not, as far as we can tell, over-grooming. The most likely culprit is the dreaded "seasonal allergy". Daisy's fur is growing back, though slowly. She is her usual bright, playful, sometimes sharp and pointy self. Her appetite is good and her habits haven't changed. Except for strawberries. We're giving her a special gooshy cat treat that has some voodoo in it that's good for skin and coat, but who knows? She does love her new treat and watching her being happy is good enough for me. Further bulletins as events warrant. For now, back to the strawberries!
Have a great week ahead, all!
